Sterling Ewalt Johnson

Born October 15th, 1923 in Tabor, Iowa died at age 87 July 25th, 2011 in Folsom, CA.

Sterling was a loving father to his two children, daughter MarySue Hernandez of Fair Oaks, CA and David Johnson who died in Juneau, Alaska in 1985.

He was adored by his three Granddaughters Tessa Hernandez of Fair Oaks, CA, Megan Hernandez of San Francisco, CA and Autumn Crandall (Paul) of Hawaii who gave him three great-grandchildren Apaulo, Leilani, and Keona.

Sterling lived in Eureka, CA from 1949 to 2009. He raised his children on Clark Street at the Leila Kellen home. He was the owner of Eureka Saw Works on X Street. He was loved by so many friends and extended family members.

Services will be held Saturday August 13th, 2011 at 2:00pm at Pierce Mortuary Chapel at 707 H Street in Eureka, CA. Reception Dinner to follow at the Samoa Cookhouse. Entombment will be Monday, August 15th, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Oceanside Cemetery for his family.
