It's been a year now and I kept waiting for the words to come, and now I know they aren't going to because there are no words to describe me and my families love to Eddie and family.  Our lives were entwined with our children and living "life".  Eddie and Sue were always there for us when we needed them--just for advice or for a helping hand. We enclosed our carport, together.  We built the deck- together.  We always needed advice on cars, Eddie always had the right advice.  We moved Colleen back to Florida- together. We made trips to the mtns in his LTD station wagon- together. We  played games and games of cards- together.  I spent time again and again telling him "stuff" , he listened  and grinned!!! Your parent's home was always the house to go to growing up. They were like my second parents, always dragging me around as if I was theirs. I cherish all the memories I have of them. That old station wagon would come and pick me up and take me sledding, to the mountains or just back to their house for games,Doritos (they always tasted better at their house), football or basketball or playing pool. I will always remember them. Cherish their memories and make more like it with all your kids. Love you all!

I have the fondest memories of your parents and the times I spent with all of you at their home in High Point...playing football, cards, and board games...eating your Mom's homemade biscuits, Doritos, and all the other good foods..."go cart" riding, often with your Dad working on whichever vehicle needed a little attention (as we played).  May you cherish and continue the legacy of love and family values your parents have left with you.  All of you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

To my Brothers, I love you both. We are so very lucky to have had Dad and Mom as our parents. We have lost them way too soon, but their legacies rest with each of us and our children, so they will live on forever in our hearts. I will always love Daddy and will miss him and our Sunday games of cards and Upwords.  I love you both, Susan

 Eddie was our  handsome and intelligent big brother. There were ten of us, refer to as the two big boys, three big girls and two little boys, three little girls.  Eddie was the eldest of us little one and our leader.  We remenber playing trucking, cowboy and Indians, cards, dominos, amd lots of other games.  He and brother David taught us to ride bicycles, jump rope, and lots more. They will always be our heroes.and we love them very much and will miss  them but hold fast to the promise that we will be together again one day.  We loved Eddie and we love his family. Eddie was my big brother and one of my heroes.  To me he walked on water.  There was nothing he could not do.  I loved him very much and will carry all my precious memories of him for my life, hoping to be with him and the rest of the family in a better place and time.  Sheila Perry

To the McCoury Family: I am so sorry about Eddie. I didn't know him well, only knew him through his sister Colleen. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace and comfort in this difficult time.

My sincerest condolences to the family on the loss of Eddie.  I had the greatest respect for him, his work ethic, and dedication to his job, and the company.  He started working right out of high school and never left, this was the kind of dedication he had to the company he worked for.  I have missed working with Eddie and Sue over the last years after the company closed.

One of my earliest memories of my Uncle Eddie is him and Aunt Sue pulling in our driveway on their motorcycle. I always wanted to take a ride with him. My mother and father were both hesitant. My mother would panic and say "no". I would always say  "please, please let me" and Uncle Eddie would just grin real big. Aunt Sue would always say "let her go Mary, she'll have fun". My mother would eventually give in and let me go. I always had fun! These are just a few of the cherished memories I will always carry with me. I will never forget his big grin.

I had the honor of caring for Eddie at HPKC for many years. I respected his courage and appreciated his kindness everytime I interacted with him. I am sure he is in heaven smiling down on us at this moment. God bless you i your time of loss.
