Hazel Blackmon Campbell

Hazel worked in the textile industry for 22 years. Her great granddaughter McKenna would always say “Grandmother you’re my best friend.” Hazel enjoyed reading her bible, coloring, shopping and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. All who knew her will miss her.

Hazel is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Campbell, two daughters, Geneva Maynard of Lexington, NC, Patricia Campbell (Jamie Davis) of Asheboro, one son, Allen Campbell (Deena) of Asheboro, NC; three grandchildren, Justin Maynard, Jennifer Komlos and husband Stefan, Alyssa Campbell; five great grandchildren, Isis, Sicily, Emerald, McKenna and Evan; one sister Grace Blackmon, two brothers Billy and Wayne Blackmon and close friend Lily Komlos whom she loved as a sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl Blackmon, Floyd Blackmon, Jack Blackmon, Teenie Blackmon and Harold Blackmon; one sister, Dorothy Tollison; two grandsons Robert Miller and Anthony York.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 W English Road, High Point, NC 27262 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
