Hazel Duncan Hinson

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Tripp officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Hazel was born in Columbus County, NC April 29, 1931, a daughter of the late Mitchell Duncan and Lonie Beck Duncan. On December 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, Wilbert Hinson. They were together 65 wonderful years until his passing in April, 2019. She was a beautician for several years until the birth of her grandson, Jordan. Hazel dedicated her life to taking care of her family and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Estelline, Velma, Emma, Cleta and Marvalene; three brothers, Selmer, Gordon and Leamon. Hazel was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Blair and husband Keith; a grandson, Jordan; a sister, Ruth Hinson and many nieces and nephews.
