James “Jimmy” Allen Cornelison, age 70, a resident of Sneads Ferry and a former resident of Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was born April 25, 1956, in Greensboro, North Carolina, the son of Robert Thurman and Helen Cruthis Cornelison.
Jimmy graduated from Ragsdale High School in 1975. He attended Elon College (Elon University) in Elon. He was the owner/Broker of Carolina Real Estate of Topsail Beach.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his two sons, Nicholas “Nick” Allen Cornelison and Christopher “Chris” James Cornelison; his mother, Helen Cruthis Cornelison; and his three brothers, Mike Cornelison, Ken Cornelison, and Terry Cornelison.
A Celebration of Life service for Jimmy will be announced later.
