John spent his life as a scrap metal handler. He was loved by many as a husband, dad, brother, cousin, uncle, grandfather and friend. Was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church of Concord, NC.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Horton Bolton; wife, Debbie; daughter, Tammy; grandchildren, Michael Lee and Molly; son-in-law, Clark; and sister-in-law, Kathy.
John is survived by his children Sharon, John Wayne (Linda), David (Lynn), Brenda, Michael (Cynthia) and Donna (Craig), Christian and Christopher; step children, Wendy and Johnny; son-in-law, Martin; grandchildren, Anthony, Craig, Nicole, Kenny, Brittany, Jacki, Josh, Megan, Terry, Selena, Trent, Erika, Samantha, Mathew, Mason, Hannah, Nathan, Daniel, Sarah, Kenny Jr., Jesse, Dustin and David Jr.; and nineteen great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Dolly) and Cecil; sister, Barbara (Troy); as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
A celebration of life for John will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Archdale, 120 Trindale Rd, Archdale, North Carolina 27263. Family will receive extended family and friends after the service concludes at 1409 Cloverdale Street, High Point, NC 27260.
