My dear friend, 

I am so saddened for your loss. It has been a gift to have you as a friend all these years, and it was a pleasure to get to know John. My humorous stories about John would be when we were working together in sales and I could not  get him to stop being so honest about everything with his customers. And my heart-felt memory was the time you and John went with me to reach out to the homeless. That was a special day. May God bless you with courage and strength. 

My Dearest Susan, I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. It seems like a few yesterdays ago that you two met and instantly fell in love. 

I always like to think that I played a major roll in that meeting.  If Hohn’s brother had not crossed my path for those few week and told me about his wonderful brother, I would never have had the opportunity to tell him about my wonderful best friend, which led to the best blind date, ever.  I know God had a plan and it worked perfectly.  Two beautiful children and so many happy memories that we can share. 

I have you in my heart and in my prayers as always. Stay strong dear friend. 

The Donut Friar was always John's first stop whenever we visited Gatlinburg. By the end of the week, they would know him by name and start packing up his order for the day as soon as he walked through the door. His favorites were the "Pillows" and "Glazed Croissants".  Wonderful memories!

John loved the beach. We spent lots of time at Oak Island, NC. It was one of our favorite places.
