Lois was born on August 13, 1927, in High Point to the late Harrison W. Wagoner and Essie Clodfelter Wagoner. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1944 and Bryce Commercial College in 1945. She worked at Adams-Millis Corporation for over 30 years. Lois loved to read, garden, travel and work cross-stitch. She volunteered at High Point Regional Hospital in the Surgical Waiting Room for many years. Lois was a member of the Sunset Garden Club and Archdale United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest R. Jones, Sr., in 1978 and by her second husband, Ernest W. Welborn, Jr., in 2012. Also preceded in death was her brother, Raymond Wagoner, and sister, Shelby Spainhour.
She is survived by her children, Karen Jones and Randy Jones (April). Also surviving are sisters, Fran Andrews, Hazel Plummer, Gayle Scarboro (Bill,) and brother, Ted Wagoner (Jean).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service of Archdale. The family will receive friends at Noon prior to the service at the funeral home. The Reverend Harold Shives will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
