Alexander Frank Marchetti, Jr.

Alexander Frank Marchetti Jr. was born on November 29, 1972, in Oak Park to Alexander and Jeanne (nee Marsico) Marchetti. He died Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Arlington Heights after a 22 month battle with Glioblastoma.

Mr. Marchetti worked as a certified public accountant in Investor Relations for Brunswick since 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame University and was a life-long “Fighting Irish” fan. Al was a long-time baseball and softball coach in the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association, where he also served as a board member and league representative. He also served as Arlington Cowboys football coach. Al loved to spend time with his family, especially his children, and was loved by all.

Alexander is survived by his spouse of 20 years, Tracy (nee Tarasievich); children. Emma, Alex and Emelia "Mia" Marchetti; parents, Al (Jeanne) Marchetti, Sr., in-laws, Larry (Linda) Trzaskus and Mike (Marilyn) Tarasievich; siblings, Eric (Renee) Tarasievich, Tracy (Jeff) Crivlare and other step in laws; cousins, Diana (Tom) Hayes and Andrea (Jimmy) Capasso; godmother, Donna Kazmierski; godson, Tommy Hayes and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

Visitation Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 9:00 am, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Entombment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
