Alvin “Al” Gates was born July 12, 1929 in Chicago. He died July 11, 2017 in Arlington Heights.
Al is survived by his wife Bernice (nee Palm) Gates; his daughter Pamela (Andrew) Shannon; his grandchildren Steven and Kristin and by many loving family members.
Al is preceded in death by his son Steven Gates.
Visitation Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment private.
