Barbara Rose Henricks

Barbara Rose Henricks was born June 2, 1932 in Woodstock, IL to Henry and Agnes (nee Harrison) Harrison. She died on October 26, 2023 at JourneyCare in Barrington.

Barbara was the mother of four children, grandmother of seven, and great grandmother of five. Proud of her “magnificent family,” Barbara wrote monographs documenting the family history back several generations and created dozens of storybook photo albums to preserve family memories. Barbara was a fourth-grade teacher and lifelong learner. A woman of eloquence and dignity, she encouraged others to trust in themselves and boldly pursue their dreams.

Barbara is survived by her children Jeff (Lorraine) Henricks, Jane (Dieter) Thiergart and William (Cathy) Henricks; her grandchildren Megan (Jason) Stotts, Caitlin (Fernando) Martinez, Olivia (Gabriel Eljaiek-Rodriguez) Eljaiek-Hendricks, Elise (Scott) Pusateri, Kelsey (Adam) Pandrangi, Caroline (Marco) Henricks, Adrienne (Jorge) Vela and Luna Vela; as well as her great-grandchildren Frederick Stotts, Dorian Stotts, Gabriel Martinez and Caleb Martinez.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Thomas Henricks, her daughter Susan as well as her parents.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 4:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00pm at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1234 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1234 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004
