Bart J. Winn Jr.

Bart J. Winn Jr., 78, of Barrington, formerly of McHenry and Chicago, born May 6, 1935 in Chicago to the late Bart J. Sr. and Dorothy Winn and passed away at home after a hard fought battle with MDS and the side effects of Parkinson’s Disease on June 20, 2013. He was surrounded by the love of all who knew him and with his wife of 51 years by his side. Bart was a person who valued people and good times. He was a dedicated friend and family man who always had the best time. He loved golf, basketball, golf, the Cubs and golf. Bart spent over 30 years working on the Chicago Stock Exchange and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Bart was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (nee Siebert); loving father of Michael J. (Dorothy) Winn and Katie (Michael) King; doting grandfather of Abby, Joe, Aidan, Anna Mae, Keira and Owen; dear brother of Bob (Kathy) Winn and Chip “Sis” (Mike) Wells. He is also survived by generations of nieces and nephews as well as countless friends and family. The measure of someone is the void they leave behind and Bart will leave a void in the hearts of many. Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 2-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Family and friends will gather on Monday, June 24, from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 Washington Street,McHenry. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Countryside Cemetery in McHenry. Contributions may be made to the J. Patrick Lawler Junior Golf Fund, 327 Richmond Lane, Village of Lakewood, IL 60014.
