Carl De Lio was born on December 9, 1933, in Chicago, IL to Carl and Catherine (nee Citro) De Lio. He died on February 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Carl was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1956-1958. Later, he was the owner of Tommy Tucker Hot Dogs in Niles, feeding that community for thirty years.
A dedicated family man, Carl and his wife of 59 years, Judith, raised three children. He never missed a performance, sporting contest, or other events in his children’s young lives, or that of his 8 grandchildren.
A lifelong White Sox fan, Carl loved attending games in person, none more than the 2005 post season. He was equally fond of celebrating and second-guessing the team’s performances at home in the living room.
Carl is survived by his spouse Judith (nee Antongiovanni); his children Michael (the late Donna) (Kendra), Anthony (Candie) and Carla; his grandchildren Ashley (Justin) Tosch, Jessica (Nick), Vincent (Krystal), Tabitha Ambroiggio, Jacqueline, Amanda, Cora (Matthew) Weide and Riley Smith as well as his great-grandchildren Angelo Ciccone, Carmine De Lio, Evelyn Tosch and Malcolm Weide. Fond Uncle to many. Carl was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Patricia De Lio.
