Visitation for Carl Gordon Lord, 84, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Services and Interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery are private. Born August 12, 1926, in Chicago, he died June 26, 2011, at his home. Mr. Lord was a Navy veteran of World War II. He founded Haw Benefits Corporation over 25 years ago with his son. He was later joined by his two grandsons. Carl was the beloved husband of the late Vivian Lord; loving father of Derrick (Bernadette) Lord; proud grandfather of Jeffrey (Gretchen) Lord, Nicholas (Jessica) Lord; and great-grandfather of Kaley and Alexis.
