Carlos Thut

Carlos Thut passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was born in Santiago, Chile on November 20, 1927, to Emma and Eduardo Thut. Carlos and his beloved wife, Nelly, immigrated from Chile in 1955 settling in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago before moving to Arlington Heights. In his later life he criss-crossed the country living in California, Florida, Arizona and points in between until 2021 when He and Nelly returned to the Chicago area.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Kelleen) Thut and Patricia (Danial) Flower; grandchildren, Andrew “AJ” (Jacqueline) Thut, Dana (Alex) Lopez, Ryan (Meredith) Thut, Lauren (Matthew) Stummer, Lindsey (Gregory) Berryman, Taylor (Casey) Husband, and Tyler Thut; together with his great-grandchildren Juliette Thut, Naomi Stummer, Mackenzie Thut, Jackson Thut, Shea Stummer, Everett Lopez, Marin Husband; and his beloved Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nelly Thut; and his parents.

Funeral services for Carlos will be held privately.
