Caroline Louise Jahn, 98, formerly of Naperville, passed peacefully on November 5, 2025. Carol was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late Herman and Minnie Walters. She grew up on a farm near Pinckneyville, Illinois, alongside her six brothers and sisters. Later, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a waitress. It was during this time that she met her husband, George. The two shared a love of dancing and often spent their evenings at the Aragon Ballroom.
George and Carol lived in George's two-story apartment building in the Budlong Woods area of Chicago and raised 2 children, Allen (Maureen) and Pamela Jahn-Derian (Artine). George and Caroline moved to Naperville around 1970 and lived there for about 40 years. They moved to Luther Village in Arlington Heights, Illinois in 2011.
Caroline is survived by her three beloved grandchildren — Timothy, Katherine (Tristun), and Michael (Lauren) - as well as five cherished great-grandchildren: Noah, Molly, Saige, Liam, and Nathan.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 4:00pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
