Catherine Stransky

Cathy was the embodiment of selflessness and service. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone in her life feel cherished - whether it was a holiday feast, a home-cooked meal, a thoughtful card, a surprise gift, or simply being available whenever someone needed her. She gave freely of her time, her energy, and her heart.

Throughout her life, Cathy wore many hats with grace: homemaker, babysitter, nursery manager, marketing professional, pediatric office receptionist, mother, and friend. But above all, she was someone who showed up consistently, lovingly, and without hesitation for anyone who needed her.

A longtime member of St. Edna Catholic Church, Cathy took great pride in regularly attending mass on Saturdays.

Cathy was the beloved wife to the late Eugene Stransky, loving mother to Randall (Lucy) Stransky and Sherri (Hector) Adame; dear grandmother Alex Adame, Sam Adame, Maxwell Adame, Grace Catherine Adame, Connor Stransky, Adam Adame, and Carter Stransky; fond sister to the late Bruce Borys and Adam “Sonny” (Patricia) Borys; and dear aunt to Shelley and Carrie.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, we are meeting at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 to continue visitation starting at 9:00 AM until time of mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
