She died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her residence in Buffalo Grove.Catherine worked as a senior executive administrator for Siemens Facility management in Buffalo Grove. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove. She was interested in sewing, being poolside, and Ancestry.com. Her passions were her job, The USS South Dakota Veterans, her children and her Grandchildren. Catherine loved to spend time with her family and also had many friends and neighbors who loved her dearly.Catherine is survived by her spouse Augie, whom she married August 31, 1968 in Evanston; children, Heidi McMahon and John (Joanna) Verschelden; grandchildren, Austin McMahon, Sydney McMahon, Tyler Verschelden, Chloe Catherine McMahon, Vivian Wilson and Isaac Wilson; siblings, Diana (Gene) Johnson, Larry (Carlene) Maday, Jr.. and Janet (Martin) Corcoran; many nieces and nephews and many Maday cousins; and sister-in-law,Teri Sanderson.She was preceded in death by children, Jill Catherine Verschelden and Donald Joseph Verschelden; and her parents.Visitation Monday, June 6, 2016 from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
