Charles “Chuck” John Bencic, 89, of Mount Prospect, passed away on February 16, 2026. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lynn Bencic (Klaproth); His two daughters and sons-in law, Lorin & Mark Niedbala and Christine & Tony Fast; Grandchildren Madi Niedbala and Isabella, Brayden & Jake Fast. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss him.
Chuck lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family. He grew up in Arlington Heights and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil Engineering. Those who knew Chuck will remember him for his smile, sense of humor and laugh. He loved golfing, biking, gardening, volunteering and spending time with his family. Chuck left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. His warmth, wisdom, and faith touched everyone he knew. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing his love and legacy will live on in all of us.
