Charles Thudium, 68, was born August 16, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois. He passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, Illinois after a long battle with cancer.
Chuck dedicated more than 30 years of his life as President and an owner of AT Precision, a prominent tool and die company. He was a hardworking and passionate individual who took great pride in his work.
Chuck had a zest for life and enjoyed numerous hobbies. He found great happiness on the golf course, loved to fish, enjoyed bowling with his friends, and cheered on his Cubbies and Blackhawks. An avid skier, Chuck sought adventure on the mountains, carving his way through the slopes with enthusiasm and teaching littles to love the sport as he did. Chuck's impact as a leader of the Cub Scouts Pack 43 will never be forgotten, and forged friendships for a lifetime.
Of all Chuck's activities, playing golf with his friends was his true passion. With undeniable skill, he achieved the elusive hole-in-one multiple times. Chuck's love for golf extended beyond his personal achievement and enjoyment, he took pleasure in patiently sharing his passion coaching others.
Chuck and Carol created memories traveling across the globe, and even in their backyard throwing cherished parties for friends and family. No one will ever forget Labor Day at the Thudium's.
Chuck is survived by his remarkable and loving wife, Carol (nee Fiorito) Thudium, whom he married May 21, 1977, at St. Matthias Church, his loving children, Stefanie and Bryan Thudium, his sister Frances Thudium, and his nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear and close friends. He was a cherished presence in their lives and will forever hold a special place in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents Christian and Leona (nee Caruso) Thudium, his sister, Rosemary Thudium and his brother Michael Thudium.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers Monday, October 23, 2023 from the Funeral Home proceeding to St.Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
