

Chris and Elizabeth were married on September 29, 2012, surrounded by family and friends, and resided in Arlington Heights. Shortly after meeting, each knew they had found their soul mate.
Chris was born in Chicago on July 8, 1955, to Bernard and Jeanne Anastasia. His mother and father preceded him in death along with his two beloved dogs, Hector, and Maggie.
Chris attended The Joseph Sears School and New Trier High School where he played baseball as a third baseman and shortstop. Chris earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, as an Evan's Scholar. He was an avid ice skater and member of the Illinois Fighting Illini men's ice hockey team. Chris went on to earn an MBA from Arizona State with a concentration in Marketing. He had a fulfilling career in Bank and Securities Marketing working for several Chicago institutions such as Continental Bank, First Chicago Bank, Kemper, Allstate, and First Midwest Bank.
Chris was passionate about animals and spent his free time volunteering to care for dogs at animal shelters. In retirement, he also volunteered to read for the radio program of Lighthouse for the Blind. Chris and Elizabeth shared a love for watching a variety of sports, attending the opera, and other music events.
Chris was a member of Holy Comforter Church in Kenilworth and enjoyed being an Alter Server until high school graduation. Chris joined the Catholic Church prior to marrying Elizabeth. He attended two men's renewal weekends and joined the Knights of Columbus. Chris loved reading scripture. One of his greatest joys was lecturing with Elizabeth at Our Lady of the Wayside and St. James Church.
Christopher is survived by wife Elizabeth Anastasia and new puppy, Gracie. Christopher was loved and adored by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
The Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. A visitation, starting at 9:00 am, will be held at St. James prior to the Mass..
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christopher's favorite charities: Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House, Heartland Animal Shelter, Wheeling, IL, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
