Christopher William Coulomb passed away on Saturday, May 10th, 2014, at the age of 55. He was the loving husband of Mary Ivory-Coulomb for 26 years, and the father of Ben and Anne, who were the light of his life.
The family loved vacationing to places around the U.S., especially when a road trip was possible. The Grand Tetons was a favorite destination. He also enjoyed taking his children fishing.
Chris was a gourmet cook who brined, basted, and baked a delicious turkey every Thanksgiving, while he warmed-up his vocal chords for a loud, hilarious impersonation of a turkey gobble. Chris’s silliness and sense of humor never failed to make people laugh. His passions included singing, trains, fishing, and enjoying a good meal.
Also remembered on this occasion are those that preceded Chris: his father, Donald William Coulomb; his niece and nephew, Marci and Randy Williams; and his brother-in-law, Nick Kalivas.
Surviving members of his family include his mother, Barbara Coulomb; and his siblings (and spouses): Alex (Valerie) Coulomb, Glen (Pattie) Coulomb, Jeanne (Brad) Utterback, Connie (Bob) Ferraro, Carol Kalivas (Mark Cymbolisty) and Jim (Ginny) Coulomb; and Mary’s parents, John E. and Gertrude Ivory, and siblings, Gert (Doug Goedken) and John.
Visitation will be from 3 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, May 15that Lauterburg & Oehler, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL; and the funeral service will take place at 10 am on Friday, May 16th, at St. James Parish, 820 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Please direct any questions to 847-253-5423.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set-up to help support Ben and Anne's college education. This was of deep importance to Chris.
