Thank you to everyone for being  part of our lives and loving Corey as much as you do.  He was the center of my life, my love and my happiness.

Larry GAlways enjoyed coming in for a haircut. There was always a smile on his face and things to talk and laugh about. My boys started with Cory many many years ago and still remember him.I'll miss seeing him.

I also became a customer of Corey's when I was a kid, and remained one for over 25 years. We shared the same first name and also a common affinity for Chicago sports teams. I always enjoyed our conversations about sports and others matters. Having known him all this time, it was clear just how proud he was of his family and how great he was at making friends with anyone who walked into the door of the shop.I know this has to be a very difficult time for his family and close friends but I hope they are comforted by how much he meant to so many people. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Hindes Family:I am one of Corey's first customers.  Thirty-Five years ago he gave my youngest son his first haircut.  I am truly saddened that he is gone and for your loss.  He was just a good guy.  Originally when I had a full head of curly hair I got the better of the deal.  In recent years now that most of that hair is gone, Corey got the better of the deal.  But I kept coming because he was always fun to see and he was a part of my life.  I will miss him.  I hope as time goes on you will only remember the good times.Marty Agran

My condolences to Corey's family and everyone else he left behind. I've known Corey since 1980. I always enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane with Corey, talking about the days with Larry (Corey's old boss & the original owner of the barber shop). We were just talking about about Corey getting his knee done.  A tragic loss for the whole area and beyond.  Taken away way too soon. Will miss ya buddy. RIP Corey.

Dear Hindes Family,I first met Corey this year at the Taste of Arlington.  My husband was anxious to introduce him to me, which I knew 'as the man who cut my husband and son's hair' for the last 35 years!  A gentle 'giant' as he greeted me.  I must tell you it wasn't just the joy of getting their ears lowered but the great stories shared between Corey and themselves was how they viewed their barber!  My favorite is the 'skunk brothel' he faced infesting our neighborhood.  We too were encountering that trial and expense!  Other stories of frustration of joint pains, early career challenges and motorcycle adventures were shared. The many stories of pride was his wife, children, extended family and friends.  He enjoyed life!  We pray you hold close those joyous stories and live on to experience and share as he did the simple kindness, gentleness and goodness he gave to others. Dear Hindes Family,My name is John.  I'm probably one of Corey's longest time customers.  I've been going to the shop since my mom would take me for haircuts.Every time I walked in I was greeted with Corey's smile.  He always asked about my family who were customers for years as well.  Always a kind word and genuine concern.  Never failing to ask about them even after they had moved away.  He was more than a barber he was a friend.  And I looked forward to seeing him each time.I was shocked and sad to read what happened.I will miss seeing him.You and he are in my prayers.

I am extremely saddened and shocked by Corey's death.  I always looked forward to getting my haircut and telling stories about the rides we had done or were gonna go on, and of course about the Blackhawks.  I am really gonna miss him.
