Daniel Charles Donovan

of Huntley

Daniel C. Donovan was born October 31, 1950 in Chicago to Cornelius and Margaret (Nee Stuart) Donovan. He died Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Arlington Heights after a short illness.

Dan spent his entire career in the Traffic Control Industry with Warning Lites of IL, United Rentals, Roadsafe, and D2K Traffic Safety Inc. He lived in Arlington Heights for 43 years before retiring in 2014 and moving to Sun City in Huntley. He loved trains, traveling, golf, tennis, softball, and was a private pilot. He became a softball team manager in the Sun City league. Dan loved to spend time with his family, especially his granddaughters, and was loved by all.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Diana (nee Segroves); daughter Kathleen (James) Lobenhofer and two granddaughters, whom he adored, Danielle and Lauren.

Daniel was preceded into death by his parents and brother Stuart Donovan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
