Daniel M. Stachnik

Daniel M. Stachnik was born on May 23, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Josephine (nee Dys) Stachnik. He died on December 12, 2022 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel worked at Littel Machine as a Service Manager for over 27 years. Then he went on and retired from the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

Daniel graduated from Loyola University.

He was a member of the church choir at St. Edna Catholic Church.

His interests and hobbies included playing the piano, singing and performing in the annual church musical at St. Edna Catholic Church.

Daniel is survived by his spouse of over 39 years Yolanda (nee Mantegna) Stachnik; his children Patricia (Nick) Cifonie, Pamela (Chuck) Morton-Veach, Paulette (Jim) Bennett and Steven D. Stachnik; his grandchildren David (Evie) Olech, Brittany (Jeffrey) Swiatowiec, Dominic (Gabriela Nowak) Cifonie, Matthew (Catherine) Morton; Travis (Fabiola) Morton, Hannah Morton, Scott (Amanda) Bennett, Sarah (Jeremiah Mora) Bennett, Caitlin Stachnik, Ally Stachnik, Zoe Stachnik, Kaia Stachnik and Brynn Stachnik as well as his great-grandchildren Hailey, Morgan, Harrison, Hazel, Jacob, Riley, Benjamin, Jack, Henry, Jayden, Graysen and Emileah; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings Victoria (late Robert) Murphy, Michael (late Dolores) Stachnik and Paul Stachnik.

Visitation Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
