Dennis Arthur Lind, DDS was born on November 29, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Rose (nee Sarra) Lind. He died Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the Lutheran Home & Services in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Dr. Lind was a dentist for over 40 years, founding Lind Dental Care in Buffalo Grove. At age 22 he completed his studies with Loyola University School of Dentistry as the youngest graduate in the school’s history. Dr. Lind’s memberships include the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society where he served as the Mediation Committee Chairman. He served in the US Air Force from 1967-1969, during the Vietnam War with the rank of Captain. Dr. Lind was a devout man of faith; he was a member of St. James Catholic Church and an active supporter of St. Peter Lutheran School, both in Arlington Heights.

Dennis was the beloved husband of almost 49 years, to Ruth Marie (nee Schuhknecht); devoted father to Dr. Mark (Brianne) Lind, and Suzanne (Daniel) Liewald; loving Papa to granddaughters, Morgan, Rachel, Chloe, and Aubrey; dear brother to Judy (Oscar) Sola and Dr. John (Jane) Lind; and brother-in-law to Lois (the late Dan) Waber, and Doris (Gary) Gebauer; and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, June 18, 2021, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois, and from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 19, 2021, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Burial at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
