Donald Theodore Schmidgall, age 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep in his apartment at Sunrise of Prospect Heights, IL on February 26, 2026.
He was born on August 2, 1927 in Ruso, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Lydia (Dockter) Schmidgall, his wife, Linetta Rae Schmidgall, and older brothers Raymond and Harold. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Lyn Schmidgall.
He was proud of his military service in the Army during the 1950s and in honor of this, his burial will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
