Donald V. Streu

Mr. Streu served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  Donald worked as a buyer for Ben Franklin, based out of Des Plaines for 42 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights.  Donald loved to golf, travel, beat anyone at gin rummy, and negotiate and find bargains to buy anything.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was loved by all. 

Donald is survived by his children, Roger (Tom Heintzelman) Streu, Bryan (Karen) Streu and Stephen Streu; grandchildren, Jeff (Bernadette) Streu, Sally Streu and Nancy Streu; great-grandchild, Jacob Streu; brother, Allen (Janelle) Streu; brother-in-law, David (Deb) Taylor. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gernith; and his parents.

The family will greet visitors from 10:00 am Until Memorial Service at  11:00 am Saturday, February,17, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights.  Interment is private.
