Dorothy J. Ziegler was born September 11, 1921 in St. Louis, MO., to Charles H. and Frances M. (nee Woeger) Harris." She died October 29, 2015 at Midwest Palliative Care"in Arlington Heights.Dorothy"s greatest joy in life was being with her husband Richard and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandson and cherished family gatherings." She was extremely gifted at arts, crafts and gardening.Dorothy is survived by her children Carol (late Brian Quinn and late Greg Lucas) Quinn-Lucas, Rick (Kathy) Ziegler, David (Cheryl) Ziegler and Joan Gordon; her grandchildren Kevin (Nancy), Katie, Jackie (Jon) Luetke, Alicia and Laura; her great grandson Chace.Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard J. Ziegler, her siblings Charles Harris Jr. and Elnora Welch and by her parents.Visitation Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights." In state 9:00 AM Monday, November 2, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, until the time mass at 10:00 AM.
