Edward H. Bachara

Edward H. Bachara was born on July 3, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Helen (nee Malysa) Bachara. He passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022 at JourneyCare at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights after a long battle with dementia.

“Fast Eddie”, as he was known to many, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and great friend to many. He was an avid sports lover and he loved watching his children’s sporting events and practices. He also passion for fantasy football. Ed had a special love for all dogs but especially his Mocha.

Ed is survived by his spouse of 58 years Christine (nee Dabrowski) Bachara; his children Kimberlee (Christopher) Lucarz, Jeffrey Bachara, Brian (Deanna) Bachara, Steven (Christy) Bachara, and Nicholas Bachara; his grandchildren Zachary Lucarz, Tyler Bachara, Katie Lucarz, Samantha Bachara, Max Bachara, Grace Gronberg, Sarah Gronberg and Jack Gronberg; as well as his brothers Terry (Erna) Bachara and John (Cheryl) Bachara, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Carol Schmidt.

Memorial Visitation Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church 1005 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, IL 60194
