Elaine Yu-Ying Chin

Of Schaumburg

Elaine was born on December 28, 1927 in Shanghai, China to Yu and Fe-Ven (nee Dong) Tsou. She passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017.

She was a very generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.  Elaine enjoyed cooking, jewelry making, painting, playing bridge, mahjong and Russian poker. 

She is survived by her children, Sandi (Dave) Corp, Dan (Mary) Chin, Fred (Cindy) Chin and Nance (Jim) Romans; grandchildren, Cory Romans, Wesley (Amanda) Chin, Marcus (Anna-Kate) Chin, Daniel (Kari) Chin, Toby (Kelsey) Chin, Piper (Andrew) Taube, Robin (Dave) Bascom, Derek (Betsy) Chin, and Whitney (Kelly) Neitzel;great-grandchildren, Cora Chin, Caleb Chin, Evelyn Chin, Lianna Chin, Cole Chin, Elizabeth Chin, Cody Chin, Callahan Chin, Kendalynn Chin, Elliston Chin, Davison Chin, Kiersten Chin, Isabelle Chin, Violet Bascom, June Bascom and Arthur Taube; siblings Ivan (Late Thelma) Tsou, Cyril (Patsy) Tsou, Roy (Lillian) Tsou and Maida (Late Raymond) Wu. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Yenson E. Chin, her parents and her siblings Sophia Tsou, Jane (Tony) Ma and Yu-Kwei (Tsou) Liu. 

Memorial Visitation Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10 am until time of Memorial Service 11 am at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, IL. 60194.Private interment will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
