

Eleanor B. Lysak, 98, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Westchester was born July 17, 1923, in Chicago to Edward and Ella (Benes) Danek and passed away January 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Eleanor was instantly likable and had many long-lasting friendships from grade school buddies to the Lunch Bunch from Westchester to more recent friends at the Moorings in Arlington Heights. She always enjoyed a good party and hosted many. She was passionate about singing and was a natural harmonizer. She sang for over 50 years in church choirs at Divine Infant and St James and most recently sang at the Moorings. Her smile and laugh will be greatly missed by everyone she touched.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Louis Lysak; loving mother of Mary Lou (Jack) Gleason and Bob Lysak; cherished grandmother of Laura (Brian Anderson) Gleason and J.P. Gleason; great-grandmother of Clara and Natalie; dear sister of the late Evelyn Danek, Marie Rezek and Lillian Sikora and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. The Funeral Mass will also be livestreamed on the St. James Parish website at www.stjamesah.org
Interment will be private.
