Ervin "Bud" Wiemann

Of Arlington Heights

Ervin “Bud” Wiemann was born on August 8,1930 in Chicago, IL to Ervin and Lillian (nee Wachholz) Wiemann. He died on May 13, 2023 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights surrounded by his loving family.

Bud was in the banking industry for more than 67 years working for Pioneer Savings and Loan and Hoyne Savings Bank.

He was the past President of the Wheeling Rotary Club as well as a Paul Harris Fellow. Bud was the past President of the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Chicago and a retired member of the Illinois National Guard.

Volunteerism was important to Bud and he did so at his churches and with his son's sports teams.

Bud is survived by his wife of 72 years Carol Wiemann (nee Lohrentz); his sons Thomas (Catherine) Wiemann and Theodore (JoAnn) Wiemann; his grandchildren Kyle (Stefani) Wiemann, Kourtney (Robert) Phelan, Tim Wiemann and Carrie Wiemann and his great-grandchildren Jackson Wiemann and Emma Wiemann; his sisters-in-law Shirley Puls and Rita Wiemann; his brother-in-law Carlton (Jan) Lohrentz; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Howard Wiemann as well as his "plaid" brother-in-law Robert Puls.

Visitation on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine, IL 60067. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
