Eugene loved going fishing, watching wrestling, and was a talented handyman. He enjoyed helping people fix things and always had a great story or joke to share.
Eugene is survived by his children, Michael T. Gierusz and Jennifer (Gerald Losievsky) Gierusz; granddaughter Genevieve (AKA Gigi) Gierusz; Sister Stella Kujazewski; Niece / Goddaughter Joanne Fricana; Niece Sandy Selakovich; and his cat Pixie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jim Gierusz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, Illinois from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society in honor of Eugene.
