He died Monday, October 10, 2016 in Arlington Heights, Illinois.Gene worked as a merchandiser for Montgomery Wards and Land's End, before his retirement. He was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church.Eugene is survived by his wife of 68 years, Theresa; his children Kristi (Bill) Carroll, Michael Wardynski, and Casey Wardynski; his grandchildren Casey (Katie) Wardynski, Jennifer Wardynski, Christian (Jacquelyn) Wardynski, Katie (Steve) Fontanetta, and Matthew Carroll; his great grandson, Jack Wardynski; his sister, Marge Krohn; and sisters-in-laws Ardis Wardynski and Joanne Wardynski; as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Wardynski and Richard Wardynski; his daughter-in-law Sue Wardynski; brother-in-law Dick Krohn; and his parents.Memorial gathering from 9:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
