

He was born January 13, 1932 the son of Camille and Anna Marie Charlier in Verona, Illinois. He married Barbara Jacobs on December 28, 1956.
Everett served in the Navy during the Korean War. He received a BS in Education from Bradley University and a MS in School Administration from the University of Illinois.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Barbara, his daughter Cindy (Gay) and son Mike (Dawn). He was PawPaw to five granddaughters that he adored Kayte (Josh) Colwell, Bekah (Thomas) Parker, Morgan Charlier, Maria Charlier and Natalie Charlier. He was Pawps to six great-grandchildren Hazel, Everett and Henry Parker and Davis, Charlie and Benjamin Colwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother (Ernie) and two sisters (Josephine and Marie).
Everett spent his entire career as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at multiple junior high schools in Arlington Heights School District 25. Building relationships with students and educators was his passion.
He volunteered at Clearbrook Center in Rolling Meadows and served on their Board of Directors. Everett was a member of the District 15 School Board from 1971-1980. Most recently, he served as an active member of the Palatine Lions Club where he co-chaired the annual golf outing for many years.
Everett never met a stranger. He was always willing to help people in any way they needed. He was devoted to his wife and family. They cherished the time spent and memories made together at school events, sporting events, family vacations and fishing trips. After retirement, Everett’s granddaughters became his focus and he enjoyed attending their school and sporting events and building projects with them.
Special thanks to his caregivers Amelia, Leslie, Maryori, Vee and Von and to Residential Hospice who provided care that allowed him to stay in his home until the time of his death.
He lived a long, happy, and very fulfilling life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 on Friday, January 3rd at Memory Gardens, 2501 E. Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights.
