Francis V. Gallagherformerly of Arlington HeightsFrancis V. Gallagher was born on June 3, 1922 in Providence, Rhode Island to Thomas and Rose (nee Moran) Gallagher. He passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Schaumburg.Frank graduated from Providence College in 1948 and remained an active alumnus his entire life. He was a veteran of the Navy, having served during WWII.Francis is survived by his children, Patricia (Tom) White, Edward Gallagher, Thomas J. (Barbara) Gallagher, Nancy (Rich) Stanis, Kevin (Kathy) Gallagher and Joyce (Laura Fitts) Gallagher; his 24 grandchildren; his 20 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Ann Vogel.He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Gallagher; his son, Terrence (Mimi Kurka) Gallagher; his five siblings; and his parents.Visitation from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am.
