Frank J. Gordon

Frank J. Gordon was born on December 26, 1931, in Chicago to Frank and Anna. He died Saturday, July 3, 2021, in Arlington Heights. Frank was a devoted husband to Kathy (nee Maloney) for 63 years.

He grew up in Bucktown and attended Lane Tech H.S. and Northwestern University. Frank served in the United States Air Force as an aerial photographer. He retired as a Principal Staff Engineer at Motorola. Frank was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights where he was a long-time usher and played golf in the Men’s Golf League. He was a golf enthusiast.

Frank is also survived by wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Maloney; and was “Uncle Frank” to Kevin (Nancy) Maloney, Karen (Robert) Valentino, Tommy Maloney, Maureen (Robert) Schneider and Betsy Meltz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Loretta Gordon and “Sis” Rosie Tarara; and brother-in-law Thomas J. Maloney.

Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am. Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Wayside Church 440 South Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment will be privately held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
