George H. DeLaMarOf WheelingGeorge H. DeLaMar was born on November 21, 1937 in Chicago to George and Margaret (nee Garland) DeLaMar. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.George worked as a sales manager for John Crane Co. in Morton Grove. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Liquori Catholic Church in Prospect Hts. George was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Des Plaines. He was an avid golfer and fisherman who loved to fish in Canada.George loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was loved by all. George is survived by his spouse Sheila (nee Devereaux), whom he married June 11, 1960 in Chicago; children, Jeffrey (Marybeth) DeLaMar, Mark (Lisa) DeLaMar and Julie (Alexander) Heldt; grandchildren, Steven DeLaMar, Noel DeLaMar, Patrick DeLaMar, Caitlyn DeLaMar, Jack DeLaMar, Kevin DeLaMar, Kara DeLaMar, Tessa DeLaMar, Mia DeLaMar, Maren Heldt and Logan Heldt. He was preceded in death by his parents; and Step-Father, Carl Mertins. Visitation Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights IL 60004. Prayers 11:45 am Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights IL 60070 for a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery In Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Alphonsus Liguori Catholic School, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Hts., IL 60070.
