Of Arlington Heights
On December 18th we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Gregory Anthony Vanella. Greg was a larger-than-life figure that touched so many people. As a journeyman electrician, Greg mentored and helped apprentice numerous young men to assist them in building a career in the trade he loved so much, however, Greg’s greatest love was his family. Nothing brought he and his wife Judy more joy than spending time with all their children and especially their grandchildren. Although this loss is heavy for all of us, Greg leaves a legacy of love and memories for us all to carry on.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Judith A Vanella nee Innocenti; his daughters, Pam (Mark) Leber, Alissa Koziol, and Tricia (Don) Forrest; his grandchildren Ryan, Kelli, and Carlie Koziol, Kyle, and Michala Leber, Ryan, Brody, and Dylan Forrest. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Gertrude Vanella.
We would like to thank the wonderful people from Suncrest Hospice for their care and support during Greg’s last few days.
