Helen M. Johnson of Arlington Heights Visitation for Helen M. Johnson (nee Strohmeier), 86, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 N. Evergreen Ave., Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery. Born Dec. 9, 1924, in Marion, Ill., she died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Northwest Community Hospital. Helen was a former member of Galewood Community Church in Chicago and a long-standing member of St. John United Church of Christ. She was the wife of the late James J. Johnson; mother of Thomas (Virginia) Johnson, Mickey (Allen) Kosobucki, James (Linda) Johnson, Kelly (Karen) Johnson and Donna (Joe) Kravetsky; grandmother of Michael, Mary, Samantha, Philip, Joey, James, Christopher, Jennifer and Tommy; and sister of Leon (Sharon) Strohmeier and the late Edith (the late Lou) Cates. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
