Henry Louis Whitaker

Henry was born on November 26, 2008 in Evanston, IL to Meade and Sean Whitaker. Thus began the twisting and turning journey that came to an end on 5/30/2023. Throughout his brief but full life, Henry impacted so many: classmates, teachers, friends, extended family, and most importantly his parents and three brothers. He loved to be with people and be a part of the action. Henry will be remembered for his perseverance, resilience, contagious smile, and enviable eyelashes.

Henry is survived by his parents, Meade and Sean; younger brothers August, Jude, and Heath; grandparents Don and Judy Crampton and Cindy and Martin Whitaker; aunts, uncles, cousins Jake and Lisa Crampton (Don, Charlie, Harry), Ross Crampton and Sarah Burke (Holly, Abby, Max), Wesley Crampton and Jodi Patt (Emika and Juna Crampton, Brooke Pelletiere), Dori and Nate Lavery (Martin, Asa), Talisa and Jason Dimmick (Alanna, Torin, Kyla), and Cara and Joey Ciamacco; dozens of extended family members including great-grandmother, Dalma London; and innumerable friends. Henry was predeceased by cousin Grace Dimmick.

There will be an open house visitation Sunday, June 4th at The Glen Club, 2901 W. Lake Ave., Glenview from 5 - 8pm. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Henry's memory be made to the following organizations: Aaron's Coffee Corner, Chicago Botanic Garden, The Chicago Lighthouse, Misericordia or The Nora Project.
