Jack Cadre (“Bug”) was born on December 4th, 2004, to his beloved parents, Brian and Amy, and passed into eternal life on February 26th, 2025. Jack was a gentle giant who cared about everyone around him. He lit up a room with his smile, he was a larger-than-life presence, and was a bright, kind-hearted, sweet soul. Jack was a protector, especially of his younger sister, and always put the needs of others first.
Jack’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, especially his devoted family members. He is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Amy, his loving sisters Maeve and Abby, his adoring grandparents Charles and Marcia, his aunts and uncles Tina, Darren, Jeff, Melissa, Tim, and Anna, and many cousins.
From a young age, Jack was full of energy, loved people, and did things on his own terms. He became an incredible cook and frequently made delicious meals for his family and friends. He loved scuba diving with his dad, fishing, and vacations Up North. Jack spent most of his free time with his close friends, where he was frequently the life of the party. He played football his entire life, including varsity football at Buffalo Grove High School. His senior year, he was recruited by the BGHS competitive cheer team and went on to help his team win the Illinois IHSA State Championship. After high school, Jack attended Harper Community College for a year and then transferred to the University of Alabama, where he began his studies in Accounting. Jack was an active brother of the Theta Sigma Chapter of Delta Chi Fraternity at the University of Alabama. He lived his life to the fullest and had a significant impact on his fraternity in the short time he was there.
As we remember Jack, we find comfort in honoring his memory through the love he shared and the example he set. In his honor, let us cherish the moments we spend together and live our lives with the same spirit of joy, kindness, and love of life that Jack embodied every day. Though we will miss him deeply, Jack’s memory will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in peace, knowing that his life made an unforgettable mark on the world.
