James T. Horne passed away peacefully at 91 years of age at Celebrate Senior Living of Niles. Born April 30, 1934, in Chicago, Jim was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Bill Horne, his brother Billy, and many cousins. He is survived by many cousins, including Dr. Jerome Meservey, who assisted Jim for many years. Jim was a long-time employee of Sargents Medical Supply Company.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, located at 434 W. Park Street in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by Mass. Burial will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Celebrate Senior Living of Niles for their compassionate care while Jim was there. We would also like to thank the nurses at Amenity Healthcare for their wonderful end-of-life care.
