James A. Madewell

Of Arlington Heights; formerly of Cincinnati, OHJames A. Madewell was born on August 16, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to James and Marie (nee Kramer) Madewell. He died Friday, May 8, 2015 in Arlington Heights after receiving the Sacrament of the Sick.Mr. Madewell served on the board of Mercy St. Theresa Center, Catholic Health Partners, St. Andrew Parish and Southwestern Ecumenical Ministry (SEM). Jim was an electrical engineer and then CEO/President of Multifold International in Milford, OH, where he worked for 30 years.James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (nee Siegel) Madewell; his children, Mary Beth (Dr. Peter) Clarke, James J. (Mary) Madewell, Ann Marie (Eric) Schafer, and Dr. Larry J. (Lanah) Madewell; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, John, Cecilia, Andrew, Catherine, Samantha, Olivia, Reuben, Isabel, Evelyn, and Clara.He was preceded in death by his son, John E. Madewell; his siblings, Mary Ann (Norman) Noe, William (Colleen) Madewell, and Steven (Pat) Madewell; and his parents.Visitation from 9am until time of funeral Mass at 10am, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 700 S. Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect. Private burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Little Sisters of the Poor, 80 W. Northwest Hwy. Palatine, IL 60067
