

James Sikora, age 88, of Prospect Heights, IL, formerly of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2024. Born on March 21, 1937, he was the adored son of the late James and Lena Sikora.
Jim's life took a wonderful turn in 1957 when he met the love of his life, Cookie. Their bond grew strong over the years, culminating in a beautiful celebration of 61 years of marriage.
A proud veteran, Jim served his country in the United States Navy, with assignments in Cuba, Glenview, and Virginia. His dedication to service extended into his professional life, where he dedicated 44 years to Illinois Bell, the last 25 of which were spent at the O'Hare Central Office. Jim was known for his reliability; you could always count on him, both professionally and personally.
Above all else, Jim was a devoted family man. He was the cornerstone of his family, always providing support and love. He created lasting memories through cherished trips to Michigan with his family and many getaways with dear friends.
Jim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Regina "Cookie" Sikora; his children, James (Sarah) Sikora and Lori (Mike) Jensen; his adored grandchildren who called him ‘Papa’, Drew, Bryce (Nayeli), Brady Jensen and Kaitlyn Nagler; and his precious great-grandchild, Leo Jensen. He was the dear brother-in-law of the late Robert (Betty) Obuchowski and Patricia (Ernie Herrold) Obuchowski. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lena.
Jim's legacy of love, dependability, and commitment to his family will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL, 60004.
