Jane R. JensenOf Lake ForestJane R. Jensen was born March 30, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI to Herbert A. and Elizabeth (nee Murray) Ruhnke." She died January 4, 2017 at Autumn Leaves of South Barrington.Raised in Shorewood Wisconsin, Jane remained friends for life with her kindergarten classmates. "She attended Lake Forest College where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and student council president and nicknamed "Punkie ". "Married to Frank Jensen, owner of Jensen's Boot Shop in Lake Forest, Jane was active in PTA, women's Club, and Lake Forest Presbyterian Church as well as being an avid golfer.Always an active member, Jane founded the Chancel Guild and was active in the church rummage sale. Jane loved her phone which allowed her to keep her friendships with so many of her dear friends.Jane is survived by her children Susie (Steve) Pierce, Todd (Anne) Jensen and Missy (David) Walk; her grandchildren Brad (Melanie) Craig (Lane), Dan, Sarah and Emma, Kylie and by her great grandchildren Nash and Sarah.Jane is preceded in death by her husband Frank T. Jensen; her dear friend Al Grinde and by her parents.Memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Lake Forest Presbyterian Church, 700 Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, IL."
