Janina A. Gorka

Janina Anna Gorka (nee Jakobsze), age 94, of Buffalo Grove, formerly of Chicago, beloved wife of the late Leonard W. Gorka; loving mother of Elizabeth (Michael) Peters, Anne Marie Calderon and Leonard Gorka; proud grandmother of Andrew (Heather) Peters, Justin, Devin, Brandon and Joshua Gorka and great-grandmother of Abigail, Stella and Brantley Peters; fond sister of Sophie Cichon, and the late Mary Daniel and Stanley Jakobsze; dear daughter of the late John and Ursula Jakobsze; fond aunt of many. Janina was loved by so many people that she came in contact with. She was always generous and lent a helping hand to those in need.

Visitation Monday, October 24, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. St. Mary Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL with Mass immediately following at 10:30 a.m. Interment Maryhill Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Janina’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Hope Foundation Journey Care Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
