She died Friday, June 19, 2015 in Arlington Heights.She worked as a nurse for Norwegian American Hospital for over twenty six years. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and loved her Florida vacations. She had a deep love and affection for her children and grandchildren.Jean is survived by her children, Gregory (Cathleen) Lapkoff, Jeffery(Linda Olszanski) Lapkoff, and Linda (Gary) Wadley; grandchildren, Ross Lapkoff, Christopher (Marnie Navarro) Wadley and Tiffany San Marco ; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Abram and Olivia Wadley and Daria and Vitaly San Marco; and her unofficial granddaughter Erica Landerholm, and her brother, Herman (Mary) Rohde.She was preceded in death by her husband Alex Lapkoff; son, Alexander "Butch" (Victoria) Lapkoff; grandson, Douglas Lapkoff; and her siblings, Lorraine (Arthur) March, William (Josephine) Rohde and Delores "Dolly" (Andy) Anderson; and by her parents.Visitation from 9 am until 10 am, Monday June 22, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights where funeral service will be held at 10 am.
