Jean Marie Schmid Of Des Plaines - formerly of NilesJean Marie Schmid was born on March 15, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Laurette (nee Ruhr) Behm. She died Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Des Plaines. Jean is survived by her husband Paul, whom she married February 3, 1951 in Park Ridge;children, Larry (Jan) Schmid, Leslie (John) Brown, Jennie (Bruce) Detterbeck, John (Rita) Schmid, Bob (Tammy) Schmid, and Sandy (Gary) Kaszubowski, grandchildren, Brian (Roxy) Schmid, Eric Schmid, Matt Spence, Johnny Schmid, Daniel (Amanda) Brown, Anthony (Paige) Schmid, Cassie (Mario) Gomez, Christopher Schmid, Jessica Spence, Kyle Schmid, Jonathan Schmid, Alex Kaszubowski, and Bill Kaszubowski; greatgrandchildren, Xierra Cansino, Xander Schmid, Olive Gomez, Payton Schmid, Knox Schmid, Avery Spence and Mason Schmid. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lauretta Larkin. Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, January 17, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, with a 3:30 pm Prayer Service to be held at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
